HOW CABLEGUARD WORKS?
CableGuard™ is the new and innovative clamping device to keep underground cables protected from thieves and is easily installed on new or existing cables. Acting like anchors along the cable, the devices are injection moulded from reinforced engineering polymers to provide cost effective, zero maintenance and corrosion-resistant protection. The system is simple and easy to install around a broad variety of cable sizes, using a clamp and interlocking shield mechanism. All attempts to forcefully remove an underground cable using various heavy-duty vehicles, including a 4-wheel drive Caterpillar backactor, could not move the Cable Guarded cable!

This cable was secured by CableGuard units at 10 meter intervals and put to the test with professional engineers as witnesses. Highly impressed, these invited engineers remained on site to additionally test the resilience of CableGuard by creating their own tests using combinations of straight pull, reverse pull and the perpendicular method, reaching up to 6 tons of load on the digital strain gauge.
